Move Over, Boca Dog Park
You've been replaced. Big Time. (Above, Golden who bathes in the river and then comes out for a mud wallow, every day. It just never gets old)
Nice dogs, nice sticks.
This is the Warm Springs Golf Course. It has gone out of business.
But the incredibly sainted owners are allowing the community to use it as a dog park !!!
Big portions are still being irrigated, and the course is still being maintained
The views are gorgeous. Despite last week's odd moose and bear
C'mon, Mom
New pals
And, of course a nice clean river (Happy mud wallowing dog!)

Old Boy Makes it to the Top O' the World Again
Again succeeds in not being eaten by a bear
It's still a bit hazy due to the wildfires
Someone must have really loved this trail
The sheepherders are still making their way to the Trailing of the Sheep Festival
One hardy tree
I decided to get in the hot tub later than usual, and once again was the evening entertainment for elk mom and babies! The two babies just hung out and napped while mom ate grass. Too cute.

Fall on a Cloudy Day
The old boy took a day off of grinnin' down bears, so we took a drive
Suddenly in the midst of brown and sage mountains, there appeared a blast of color
The area is called Cove Creek-- it's the creek that provides this gorgeous color
But also is a well known bear sighting area ( a fact unbeknownst to the old boy when he hiked it the next day)
The road is pretty rough
Fortunately the old boy knows how to read a map. Last time we were in the area we ended up having to literally back down a mountain since there were no turnarounds.
Really pretty stream bed. Not bad for a drizzly cloudy day!
My mother in law always told me: "Just add a pop of red" So here we go!
