This is the first time I've been able to capture the pink glow on the water, so that's a plus.....

But my Powershot would have been able to get closer

This one has a bit better detail, but the focus is tough. Look at the white light shining through those feathers though!

My new Lens

Pretty nice, but just doesn't have the reach I had hoped for... this is cropped, no other adjustments, just out on the first sand bar.
I'm beginning to think the Pentax is going to have to be traded in. Too bad.

He ate a fishing lure and part of a half of a dead Anhinga bird. Were there hooks in the lure? Well, the vet says probably not, since we recovered the lure minus hooks. (the hard way--let's not go there)
This is the happy dance of a lab who got to eat something gross and possibly life-threatening.
