Freddy, the Pool and the Ball

And there's probably a single serving in there somewhere, too.

But today it's about Fred and his ball

 Fred gets the ball

 Watches the ball

Nudges the ball with his nose

Til it falls into the pool

And  then we start all over again!

Oh, and for the record. This is the only way photos ever get taken of me.

Selfies with my iPhone.

New Lens, and the Ospreys are the Only Game in Town

Yes, It is true. The Ospreys on the other end of the island devoted their lives to tormenting our Bald Eagle Family.

But, perhaps not all Ospreys are such Hoodlums.

Maybe our Sout' Side Ospreys have better manners.

It was grooming and fluffing time, and here was a brand new lens ready for the capture!

This was probably Mom -- we could hear the partner carrying on in the nearby treetops. No babies spotted, but they were there yesterday...

Looks like she just had an 80's style blowout.

Totally works on this mama, though-- unlike those of us who wore the Waterfall and other versions of the Big Hair in the 80's

All right, she's had enough. Already.

Ospreys Down the Road or At Least Someone is Having Babies

This is by no means a reflection on our poor Eagle pair that doesn't seem to have babies this year.

But the Ospreys in  the old "Good Times Nest" have at least one baby!

In years past, this nest has been occupied by three or more Ospreys. There was always some kind of ribaldry taking place in this nest.

This year, we have a pair , and they seem to be taking their responsibilities seriously. See the nice decorations with burlap below.

Mom here, was having quite the feast. I never saw her share it with the babies. But the babies are so tiny I could just see the bobbly tippy-tops of their heads!

 Looks like, maybe, sheepshead???

Just got a new lens-- I'll see what it finds in this nest!

And I thought the Eagles were a challenge

I've been hearing about the baby owls at the golf course...finally I got out to see them.

This is momma owl keeping a lookout. She did not even raise an eyelid when the eagle passed by. The vultures circling didn't bother her either. I guess when you're at the top of the food chain, life is pretty good.

This is the baby ..they were side by side high in the treetops by the  time I got out. Just a big ball of feathery fluff. But really big! I thought they were adults until I got a good look through the camera.

So hard to see them, unless you know where they are.

Here is a rare moment of eyes open. Well, after all, they do have to be "night owls"!!!

A little shake before taking a spin.

 Oops, getting drowsy again.

 A little attitude.

On the way out- this alligator is known for its peculiar friendship with a turtle. People have seen the turtle sunning on the alligator's head!

Oh, and on the way home.

Look who was at the bridge. Our sweet mom and dad in their old nesting grounds.

Sadly, I don't think they will have a baby this year.

There's always 2015.

Let's hope we have some more Boca Babies next year.

Egret at the bridge

Bodacious Babes

That time of year again-- time for The Bodacious Babes of Boca to visit!

And of course, Sweet Potato Fries

There was plenty of eating, Miller's Marina TWICE! Upstairs and Downstairs

The Signature Dish- Tuna Nachos.

Sharon enjoyed a Virgin Bloody Mary

The golf cart path was jammed--Strawberry Festival Parking.  Since we  hadn't eaten enough yet, we had hot dogs, Brats, and chips

Touring the Island below, Sharon and Greta Garbo posed in front of the Gasparilla Inn Golf Course

Fred wanted to know where the inventor of the "Throw the Ball out of the Pool All Day Long " game was......... (Beth)

He's still waiting.
