The Cork and the Avocado Pit : A sequel to the Kong and the Couch

So, it was a normal Saturday evening

.. a nice salad with avocado was on the menu for dinner.

Oops, the avocado rolled onto the floor. Ooops, Fred got it.....UhOH...I cannot wrestle this thing out of his mouth. 

it went.GULP. Down

So, a call to the emergency vet told us to shoot 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide down his throat with a turkey baster. YUK. But done.

10 minutes later he threw up......wait for it... An Ecco Domani Wine Cork????? Hmmmm, last time I had one of those in my house was months ago. 

SO, we were told to give him another dose of hydrogen peroxide. I can't even tell you what the results of that little dose was (Ewww, though)--But still no avocado pit.

OK Fred, back to Arboretum View Animal Hospital we go. After X-Rays and a dose of Apomorphine the Avocado pit was recovered.

Coincidentally, on this exact day one year ago he was in the same animal hospital after eating a Kong and a Couch.
